Westside Ladies' Retreat - April 18-20
In the Women of Faith’s book Cultivating Contentment the author, Christa Kinde writes, “Life can be so hard. Life can be so frustrating. Life can be so...so...daily!

Women everywhere face disappointments, disarray, downfalls, delays, drawbacks, and doldrums. It’s unavoidable. That’s life! The trick is to face life’s twists and turns with grace. We yearn to be the kind of women who exude contentment—that quality of serene calmness, unflappable cheerfulness, and peaceful acceptance. We want to be content. But that’s so hard to do!”

Contentment doesn’t come naturally, and isn’t always learned quickly. But it can be learned. You can, like Paul, say, “I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content” (Phil. 4:11). There are pitfalls along the way, bad habits have been formed, thoughtless attitudes have taken hold. Would you like to be able to find satisfaction in daily living that cannot be ruffled by circumstances! Would you like to break old habits and learn a new way of looking around you?”

Can you identify with these words? If so, the Westside Ladies’ Retreat is where you want to be during the weekend of April 18-20. Take a break from your everyday routine and spend some time reflecting about contentment and how we can all learn to gracefully handle our challenges and cultivate a heart of contentment, full of peace and joy.

Registration forms are available in the foyer. We need to know of you are going ASAP. If you have any questions contact the church office.

Where Can I Plug In??
Getting plugged in comes in three simple steps.

First...
Satisfy your curiosity! Speak to Ron Stump, our Family Life Minister, or any of the other elders and get all your questions answered--well, all that have to do with Westside! Let us tell you about "membership" and why we do this...and steer you toward your Second step...

Second...
Make connection! These are small groups that meet in homes...usually sharing a pot-luck meal, brief Bible study, and prayer time. This is where you can really get to know some Westsiders and make lasting friendships...and prepare yourself for your Third step...

Third...
Get to work! There are many ministry opportunities available through Westside...including working with MOPS, Northwest Children's Outreach, Children's Education, Mexico and Honduras Outreach, International Student Ministry...workers are always needed!
